Dr. Nicholas C. Lambrou, Chief of Gynecologic Oncology

Dr. Nicholas C. Lambrou
In January 2022, Luminis Health and the DeCesaris Cancer Institute of Anne Arundel Medical Center welcomed its first Chief of Gynecologic Oncology, Dr. Nicholas C. Lambrou. Originally from Salisbury, Maryland, Dr. Lambrou completed his residency at the Johns Hopkins Hospital and University. After completing fellowship at the University of Miami, Dr. Lambrou served as associate professor and has authored or co-authored multiple peer-reviewed publications, book chapters and editorship. He has participated in the latest clinical trials in the treatments of gynecologic cancers, such as endometrial, cervical, and ovarian. Due to his early adoption of robotic surgery, Dr. Lambrou has become widely recognized as an expert and instructor in robotic gynecologic surgery.
Prior to joining Luminis Health, Dr. Lambrou served as chief of gynecologic oncology and director of robotic minimally invasive surgery for one of the largest health care systems in South Florida. Dr. Lambrou’s areas of interest include the treatment of women with gynecologic cancer, cancer prevention strategies and advanced gynecologic surgery. His focus is to provide thoughtful patient-centered consultation with attention to the highest quality outcomes.
Dr. Lambrou has been named a Top Doctor by Castle Connolly since 2013.

Sara Corckran will lead an empowering and interactive session designed to help you harness the power of your thoughts for healing and renewal. As survivors of ovarian cancer, you have already demonstrated immense strength, and now it’s time to shift your mindset to one that nurtures your ongoing journey of rejuvenation. Through fun, thought-provoking activities, you will learn to identify, release, and reframe limiting thoughts, creating space for healing and growth. You will also experience a powerful exercise to personify your inner critic, quiet your mind, and embrace the present moment, leaving with practical tools to support your resilience, clarity, and empowerment as you move forward with grace.
Sara Corckran is a certified positive psychology life coach, speaker, and author of Grit and Grace: How to Find Clarity and Optimism in Overwhelming Situations. She is passionate about equipping others—especially those navigating life transitions—with tools to cultivate hope, self-compassion, and purposeful living. With warmth, insight, and actionable strategies, she inspires clients and audiences to not just face challenges but transform them into opportunities for growth.
Her unique perspective stems from her experiences as both a survivor and caregiver, having faced breast cancer herself and supported her husband and sister through their battles. She believes that a positive mindset directly impacts the healing process and focuses on empowering individuals with tools to approach each day with optimism, intention, and strength.

Join us for an inspiring workshop where you will create your own Vision Board—a beautiful reflection of what lifts your spirit. Explore the therapeutic power of creativity as you gather meaningful words, uplifting images, and personal touches that capture what truly inspires you. There’s something special about coming together, cutting, pasting, and sharing stories with friends.
The Stef Ripple nonprofit organization will graciously donate the supplies needed for this session. However, to make your Vision Board even more personal, we invite you to bring copies of photos that hold special meaning—pictures of loved ones, places that bring you peace, or special mementos that have filled your life with joy.
Courtney Stevens, Vice President of Stef Ripple, a nonprofit organization created to honor the memory of her sister, Stefanie Ashdown. Guided by her Christian faith, a deep love for family, and a passion for creativity, Courtney is devoted to continuing Stef’s legacy and supporting the organization’s mission. By day, Courtney works as a web developer at Anne Arundel Community College. She’s also a devoted wife, mom, daughter, and the proud owner of two adorable pugs who bring extra joy to her life.
Wendy Preslan, Community Outreach Coordinator, has been with Stef Ripple for almost 8 years. When she is not busy with Stef Ripple, she is juggling many hats as the founder of the non-profit Stitches of Kindness. Wendy is a huge lover of animals and is often seen, along with her husband, Mark, working to improve the lives of pets in our community. Wendy is a loving wife, mother, and grandmother to 6 (almost 7) grandchildren. In her spare time, she loves photography, cooking, reading, and sewing.

Join Dr. Molly Hutto, a nationally board-certified acupuncturist and the founder of Annapolis Family Acupuncture, for an informative workshop on acupuncture. Dr. Hutto has treated patients experiencing cancer for over a decade, offering the complementary services of acupuncture and herbalism. Perhaps just as important, Chinese Medicine lends itself to building richly therapeutic professional relationships between patient and practitioner, allowing for regular medical care where patients benefit from a doctor who has a consistent eye on their case and the undeniable benefits of respite during what for many is a very traumatic experience. Dr. Hutto will discuss the benefits of acupuncture through one's cancer journey and will answer any questions the audience has about the use of acupuncture in different phases of the treatment of cancer.
Dr. Molly Hutto is the founder and clinical director of Annapolis Family Acupuncture, specializing in allergy relief, autoimmune support, and holistic medicine. With over a decade of experience, she blends Eastern and modern holistic medicine to provide personalized, results-driven care. A nationally board-certified Diplomate of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine since 2013, Dr. Hutto holds a Doctorate of Chinese Medicine from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine and a Master’s in Oriental Medicine from Southwest Acupuncture College. Her expertise spans oncology-related symptom management, mental health, pediatrics, and immune dysfunction, making her a trusted provider in the Annapolis community.
Dedicated to addressing the root causes of illness, Dr. Hutto has trained extensively in Traditional Chinese Medicine, complementary oncology care, and pediatric and palliative treatments. She is certified in the Soliman Auricular Acupuncture Technique (SAAT) for allergy elimination and has advanced training in Auricular Medicine. A compassionate, patient-centered practitioner, she integrates constitutional medicine to support long-term wellness. Dr. Hutto has published articles in Acupuncture Today and The Elephant Journal on various health topics. Fluent in Spanish, she previously taught high school Spanish before transitioning to Chinese medicine. She lives in Annapolis with her son and pets and enjoys yoga, healthy cooking, and the outdoors.

Meditation, Reiki, Sound Healing: A Restorative Journey

This deeply nourishing session is designed to calm the mind, ease stress, and restore balance. We will begin with a guided meditation to center ourselves, followed by the gentle, healing energy of Reiki and the vibrational power of sound healing. This immersive experience will help us cultivate inner peace, resilience, and a renewed sense of well-being.
Trish Brewer, a certified trauma-informed Breathwork Coach, Reiki Master Teacher, and Intuitive Guide, will be joined by Robin Furth, a Yogi, Reiki Master Practitioner, and Sound Healer. Together, they will create a sacred space for deep relaxation and energetic renewal.
Trish Brewer is a certified trauma-informed breathwork coach, Reiki Master Teacher, and Practitioner. She helps individuals committed to deep inner healing transform their lives by releasing trauma, reducing stress, and reconnecting with their authentic selves. She co-authored Hot Mess to Hot Mom: Transformational Tools for Thriving After Childbirth and Beyond, We Lead Volume 2: Building Connection, Community, and Collaboration for Women in Business, and 100 Poems and Possibilities for Healing Volume 2.
Trish's extensive training includes Breath Coach Certification from Yoga Teachers College, Usui Holy Fire Reiki certification, and trauma-informed practices from the NARM Training Institute. She's also trained in Activation Breathwork, meditation, and shamanic practices in the Andean tradition, incorporating Earth-based wisdom and ancestral practices into her healing approach.She resides in southern Maryland, just outside of Washington DC, with her son, husband, and rescue dog, Max. Her daughter, a market research analyst and artist, lives in Newport, RI.
Robin Furth has over 20 years of experience guiding students through the transformative power of yoga. A dedicated teacher, healer, and wellness advocate, she is a 200-hour certified yoga instructor, Reiki Master Practitioner, and sound healer. Robin creates space for deep healing and restoration through movement, energy work, and sound baths.
Her passion for holistic living is rooted in her own journey, which involved experiencing firsthand the benefits of yoga, Reiki, and nature in maintaining health and navigating life’s challenges. Whether hiking scenic trails, exploring the underwater world as a certified scuba diver, or working with herbs, she finds balance and connection in the natural world.
