    Teal Lights Cruise

    Teal Lights is an awareness campaign intended to “shine a light” on the signs and symptoms of ovarian cancer and celebrate survivors of the disease. Since its launch in 2009, the campaign has grown to include more than 20 buildings lit teal. The highlight of the campaign annually concludes with a TEAL Lights Celebration Cruise.

    This annual event brings together NOCC supporters, ovarian cancer survivors, participating buildings, and sponsors to celebrate the increased awareness of ovarian cancer symptoms.

    Venue Details

    Our annual cruise takes place aboard Wendella’s “Lila” named after the matriarch of the Borgstrom family who passed from ovarian cancer. Wendella Boats is the premier sightseeing company in Chicago providing a superb lake and river architectural tour as part of the evening’s festivities. A Chicago family tradition since 1935, this is the tour that started it all. The journey begins with an up-close perspective of Chicago’s internationally known architecture as seen from the Chicago River. Then, venture through the Chicago Lock to gain a new perspective of Chicago’s architecture from Lake Michigan.
